The local Tsurumi distributor in Australia supplied a Tsurumi submersible high-head pump, LH8110, to a coal mining. The application of the pump is pumping river water to a coal mine preparation plant.

The pump was installed on 30 m long rails on an inclined riverbank so that it could be lowered and lifted easily.

A borehole rising main hose was fitted on the pump discharge to withstand the high pressure. Also the pump was placed in a hopper in the river to keep out leaves, etc from entering the pump.
