Approach to Occupational Health and Safety
Preventing accidents and illnesses to employees in the course of business activities and providing a safe and healthy workplace is one of a company’s most important duties. To ensure that all our employees can work in safe and healthy workplaces, the Tsurumi Group has established the following Occupational Health and Safety Policy with the aim of continuously pursuing initiatives related to occupational health and safety.
Occupational Health and Safety Policy
- We provide safe and healthy working conditions to prevent work-related injuries and illnesses.
- We comply with legal requirements in laws and regulations on occupational health and safety. Furthermore, we strive to manage occupational health and safety by complying with requirements, including voluntary standards established as necessary.
- We assess the impact on occupational health and safety risks and opportunities and set targets for key items.
- We carry out our occupational health and safety improvement activities to achieve our occupational health and safety targets.
- We strive to communicate with our employees (consultation and participation) and engage in occupational health and safety activities.
- We provide training and engage in activities to raise awareness on occupational health and safety both inside and outside our company.

Health and Productivity Management Policy
Guided by our philosophy of “Being water- and people-friendly,” we place great value on fostering the creativity, harmony, and passion of each of our employees, and our entire group is united in striving daily toward the realization of sustainability. To achieve this, building a workplace environment in which our employees and their families can lead happy and healthy lives, both physically and mentally, is a critical management issue. By extension, this also leads to the continued growth of our company. We will work to enhance our internal systems and workplace culture in the future. Together with this, our company, employees, and health insurance association will come together under a tripartite structure to maintain and improve the health of our employees and their families.
Health and Productivity Management Declaration
We are striving to maintain and improve the physical and mental health of each of our employees while creating a workplace environment in which they can work with vitality. At the same time, we are proactively supporting the health and well-being of both our employees and their families. We declare that we will work on the following items to ensure our employees can work safely with peace of mind.
- Achieve a 100% participation rate in periodic health checkups
- Raise the specified health guidance implementation rate
- Raise participation rate in secondary screenings (detailed examinations) recommended after periodic health checkups
- Raise the participation rate in stress check assessments
- Reduce resignation, long-term leave, and absenteeism caused by poor mental health
- Lower the smoking rate among employees
- Raise awareness of health in the workplace
Health and Productivity Management Structure
To maintain and improve the health of our employees, we promote health measures for our employees and their families under a tripartite structure with the Human Resources Division serving as the secretariat and working in cooperation with the Health Insurance Association.
Occupational Health Structure
We have appointed occupational health physicians at our Osaka Headquarters, Tokyo Headquarters, Kyoto Plant, and Yonago Plant. Moreover, we have stationed two full-time occupational health nurses at our Osaka Headquarters. In this way, we are promoting the health management of our employees across Japan.
Status of Initiatives on Health Management and Health Improvement Measures
We conduct various health checkups in collaboration with the Osaka Industrial Machinery Health Insurance Association, as well as annual group influenza vaccinations, group blood drives (Osaka Headquarters), stress check assessments on all employees, and other efforts.
Establishment of a 24-hour Health Consultation Desk
We have introduced a service that allows our employees to directly consult by e-mail with health specialists any time 24 hours a day about health, work, or personal concerns. In addition to their own health, employees can also feel free to ask physicians about the health and well-being of their families and acquaintances.

Certified as a 2026 Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organization (Large Enterprise Category)
Tsurumi has been certified as a 2026 Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Corporation (Large Enterprise Category) under the Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Corporation Certification System established by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
The Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Corporation Certification System honors corporations that put into practice particularly excellent health and productivity management based on initiatives in line with regional health issues and initiatives to improve health as promoted by the Kenko Kaigi (Japan Health Council).
