Expressway Underpass Drainage System

At an expressway junction
This pump system serves to drain a municipal road that passes under an expressway junction, via two rainwater regulating pits.
Rainwater that falls over a wide area of the junction is not directly channeled to the small class river running nearby. Instead, while rain is falling, it is temporarily collected in a holding pond where it is held until it can be pumped safely to the river after the water level in the river has lowered.

A municipal road that passed under a national highway was extended in the east-west direction when the junction was built. Two rainwater drainage pits were built and pumps were installed to drain rainwater collected from the underpass.
