Tsurumi's pumps were chosen to drain water from an underpass that runs east-west underneath the railway tracks at Nagareyama Otakanomori Station where the Tsukuba Express and Tobu Line intersect in Nagareyama City, Chiba Prefecture. Highly efficient models with large diameter bore for discharging solids were delivered for the job. Since the pumps and flood warning signs went into service in October 2017, no vehicles have been trapped by flood waters.
