Since its foundation in Japan in 1924, Tsurumi Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has been engaged in the manufacture, supply and sales of various pumps including submersible pumps as key products, environmental devices and related equipment.

Tsurumi continued that trajectory recently by expanding their LH-series of heavy-duty submersible pumps that have for years been the choice pump for high head drainage jobs at mining and construction sites, with a new LH-D-series they developed and built for high volume performance. The LH-D-series are submersible pumps with 2-pole 110/185 kW motors, on which a double suction impeller is mounted to deliver assured performance in high volume, high head applications.
With a max. capacity of 14 m³/min and max. head of 92 m, they meet the needs of open-pit/underground mining, heap leaching and large-scale tunneling work.

The biggest feature of these pumps is that they powerfully draw large volumes of water from both upper and lower sides of the double suction impeller. This reduces thrust load, which extends the service-life of bearings and increases the stability of pumping operations. Moreover, in order to stand up to harsh conditions of use, the impeller and suction mouth are made of wear-resistant high-chromium cast iron. The pumps also sport a flow-thru design that forcibly cools the motor in extended running at low water level and have an inspection window at the bottom of the stuffing box for visually checking for degraded insulation and facilitating replacement of cables.
Besides all of that, each of the LH-D pumps comes loaded with a plethora of original technologies that Tsurumi has tested and proven over the years including an anti-wicking cable, motor protector, 2 leakage sensors, dual inside mechanical seals with silicon carbide faces, Oil Lifter and galvanic anodes. These features underscore the efficient continuous duty over extended time frames that has earned Tsurumi pumps a name synonymous with high reliability and lasting durability.
