Bakery Product Manufacturer's Wastewater Treatment Facility


Tsurumi's Argentina agent was invited to project and build the wastewater treatment facility for new industrial plant which one of bakery product manufacturer in Mexico. The facility was designed to treat up to 110 m3/day and, through a process involving 3 SBR (Sequential Batch Reactor) each one able to treat 37 m3/day in two cycles of 12hrs. The design was completed with equalization, in channel screening for solid retention, aerobic digester and filter press.
The considered loads for the raw effluent to be treated were:

BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand): 1400 mg/L
COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand): 350 mg/L
TSS (Total Suspended Solids): 400 mg/L

The instrumentation consists of an ultrasonic level sensor and a dissolved oxygen sensor, which besides, runs an economic routine with high oxygen, using according to the case, one or two aerators per SBR.

The general adjustment of the project can be seen in the illustration, showing a very compact design, with an effective use of the space.
