The operator of a blowfish farm wanted a number of pumps to circulate the water in their tanks. Because cast-iron pumps readily corrode and break down, the company bought 24 TM pumps with the hope that they would last longer. Made of titanium, TM pumps stand up to corrosion even when exposed to high concentrations of chlorine ions as you find in seawater. The titanium also makes them very light -- weighing just 6.6kg -- and easy to relocate, which has made this customer very happy. The customer also fit the pumps with a home-made diffuser that mixes liquid oxygen into the water to ensure a stable oxygen supply before releasing water.
